The solid majority of people in our church are in their 20s, and they love old stuff like “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” even if they haven’t heard those songs before. Of course, we arrange them with an indie rock/alt. country vibe, usually.

    Cool set list!

I love the songs in that medley. Actually I think I like all the songs you did this week. :)

It was a lot of fun, actually! Kicking it back to some early 80’s stuff! I will run through my notes and see if I can post the set notes for it with the key changes and such.

    Thanks mate!

I would love to hear how that medley was done. That sounds very cool. Nice and original..

We have a serious Seniors Ministry, and Senior presence in our church. So we have a real need to hold onto some of those hymns in order to keep reaching everyone in our worship service. But we have been re-doing them and freshening them up a lot. It’s been a lot of fun, actually! And we’ve had very positive feedback from it.

Of course, ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’ is a classic! And you can really worship the Lord with that hymn! I love it! Good move!

And thanks for stopping by my blog!

I’m getting ready to bring back “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. Amazing and powerful, probably because it’s scripture.
