Solitude

As I sit here at church, in the solitude of this empty sanctuary making final preparations for rehearsal tonight, I am reminded of how important it is to be alone and utterly silent before the Lord. He deserves for me to be His captive audience. He deserves for me to devote some alone time to Him. And I can NOT live or function within His will and purpose for me without making this time a priority in my daily life.

I encourage you to free up some moments of solitude in your day. And make yourself a captive audience for the King of Kings.

  1. You hit me right between the eyes! My weak spot! (ok maybe one of many)…

It’s not that I think I can do it without silence before Him…But I am SO all over the place – loving Him as I go…but, you are SO right…I need to just be quiet!

Thanks for the reminder…and just a bit of guilt!

  2. I admit, I was convicted as I was sitting there writing. I don’t do it nearly enough. And He was showing me that in that moment.

    Thanks for visiting my blog!
